PREP & POST TAN INSTRUCTIONS

PREP & AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS

PRE-TAN / BEFORE YOU TAN

  1. Exfoliate skin the day before, so that your body will be able to absorb the tan more efficiently.

  2. We recommend shaving or removing excess hair one day prior to your Spray Tan so that your pores are closed.

  3. Prior to your spray tan, your body should not have any barriers such as lotions, deodorants, perfumes, creams or anything that would create a barrier between the body and the spray tan.

POST-TAN

  1. Recommended to wear dark and loose-fitting cloths after tan. (The solution does not stain, but could rub off on clothing and be seen on lighter clothes)

  2. After your airbrush tan, avoid showering, swimming or working out/perspiring for at least 10-12 hours.

  3. DO NOT put lotion on the skin during the spray tan development time.

  4. Avoid sweating or water exposure during the spray tan development time.

  5. IF YOU SLEEP WITH YOUR TAN STILL DEVELOPING: it’s pivotal to sleep in a long sleeve shirt and long pants that are loose fitting clothing after your tan. If you do not do this, you run the risk of too much smudging or having the tan absorb into your hands or other parts of your body incorrectly.

FIRST POST-TAN SHOWER / YOUR FIRST SHOWER

  1. During your first shower you will see the brown tint wash away in the shower water. This was the cosmetic guide utilized to spray tan you. Your sunless tan will continue to develop for 24-48 hours.

  2. (Avoid DOVE or opaque milky looking products – no bar soap).

  3. Wash with a mild sponge or washcloth. Pat skin dry. Scrubbing or abrasion on the skin surface will remove some of your fresh tan.

MAINTAINING YOUR TAN

Regular moisturization every single day will help prolong the wear of your tan & have it last longer. If you do not moisturize, your skin could get too dry and look scale-like.

TAN RESULTS

Many things may affect the final color and how a tan develops and wears on you, with your individual skin chemistry. Some of those include the amount of melanin in the skin, skin tone, oiliness, age, lifestyle habits, diet, hormonal fluctuations…etc. Over time, we will understand your skin chemistry and customize for the perfect results if needed.
